Joseph Childress Art Showing, September 8, 2018

Framed On Main is hosting a showing in the main gallery for the recent work of local artist Joseph Childress.

Date: September 8, 2018
Time: 5pm to 8pm

Joseph Childress is a 20 year old artist that is based in Madison, Ohio.

He was homeschooled his entire life. He picked up photography at the age of 12.

He photographed mostly wildlife and the scenery that was accessible and local to him.

Joseph never intended on photographing people, yet at the age of 15 he branched off into just that.

Light and contrast against the skin was simply just amazing to me.

He has remained consistent to these processes ever since.

He now primarily focuses on portrait and landscape photography. Joseph is completely captivated by the use of light.

He also is very passionate about stop motion animation with LEGO. His stop motion animations have garnered him almost 1 millions views on the YouTube platform alone. Joseph also is very much involved in the traditional style of filmmaking and cinematography.

Joseph uses his art to help him socialize with other people and make others aware of the beauty that surrounds them by photographing the things that go overlooked during day to day travels.

I see things that nobody seems to see. I try to bring others into my perspective through my photos.

Joseph has taken part in festivals, displayed his work at Briquettes Smokehouse, Madison Public Library, Community Counseling Center in Ashtabula and he will be displaying his photography at ACMC later on this year.

I just want people to notice the world as I notice it.

Come join us in a meet and greet with the artist and enjoy an evening with the arts!

Appetizers and refreshments will be offered.
